Skyggnir is a new holding company established in 2024, built on a solid and long-standing foundation. Skyggnir’s roots trace all the way back to 1899—from office machinery to the very first computers in Iceland. Ever since, Skyggnir’s predecessors have been a leading force in technological progress, operating Iceland's core tech infrastructure under the banners of IBM, Nýherji, Applicon, Tempo, TMSoftware, and most recently, Origo.

We build upon this strong foundation to support our companies in meeting the evolving needs of their customers in a constantly and rapidly changing world.

It is Skyggnir’s role to identify opportunities for progress and development within Icelandic information technology, whether those opportunities originate inside or outside of Skyggnir’s portfolio.
